What We Do

Angel's Hope focuses on three key areas -- Moments of Hope, Gifts of Hope and Hope for the Future.

Fun was had by all of the young cancer survivors and their families at the 2015 carnival, the first event Angel planned and hosted.

Moments of hope

Angel's immediate goal was to plan and host an annual event for all children in Alabama fighting cancer. Ultimately, her dream was to provide a special event for every child diagnosed. This could be an end-of-chemo party, birthday party, Sweet 16, homecoming dance, prom, etc. She wanted to make sure that kids fighting cancer were still able to have those special memories that many others take for granted.

Angel made more than 50 men and women's toiletry bags for the hematology/oncology unit at Children's of Alabama during her toiletry item drive in 2015.

Gifts of hope

Angel's Hope collects food, toiletry items and toys/gift cards throughout the year. These items are delivered to the hematology/oncology unit at Children's of Alabama. Collection dates and times will be announced throughout the year.

Angel's senior photo showcases her Beads of Courage. These beads are given to cancer fighters, and each one represents a part of the fight - hospital admissions, chemo treatments, surgeries, hair loss, every stick, etc.

Hope for the future

The Live Big, Love Hard Angel Eaton Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a student who exhibits the same characteristics that Angel possessed -- a passion for living and a desire to help others. The scholarship is awarded to a senior from her alma mater, Hillcrest High School.
